Nigar Siddiqui is a writer and translator of fiction and non-fiction from the Urdu language. She grew up in Pakistan, before moving to the United States in 2003 to pursue her PhD in English Literature at Harvard University. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, Harper's, The Guardian, Salon, and Salon India.
